The airport bus stop outside the Fairmont Ambassador Seoul, signed for route 6007 and a 17,000 won fare

Staying on Yeouido, or finishing a morning at the department store before the airport, the easiest option is bus 6007: it leaves from the door of the Fairmont Ambassador Seoul, runs on the expressway to Incheon International Airport, and stops only at a few other hotels on the way.

Below: how to find the stop, how to pay, who handles the luggage, where to read the timetable and how much time to leave at the airport. Fares and times change, so check the stop and the operator before you travel.

1. Who this bus suits

Yeouido's hotels cluster around the department store and the IFC towers, and the metro to Incheon is no light trip: Line 5 or Line 9 to Gimpo Airport, then the AREX railway, with two sets of gates and two lots of luggage.

Bus 6007 makes it one ride.

OptionReference timeReference fareChanges
Bus 6007about 1 hour (longer at peak)about 17,000 wonnone
Metro + all-stop AREXabout 1 hour 10 minutesfrom about 5,500 won1–2

That is a real price difference, but with heavy bags, older relatives or children, or an early flight, the through ride is worth it. On a tight budget with carry-on only, the metro and the all-stop AREX win; see the Incheon Airport AREX guide.

Check the clock first: the last 6007 leaves the hotel at 20:08, so late landings and small-hours departures cannot use it. For those, see the Incheon Airport late-night bus guide.

2. The stop: out of exit 3, right twice

The stop is at the door of the Fairmont Ambassador Seoul; search the hotel by name.

From the department store, find exit 3 on the ground floor: out of the door, turn right, then right again at the corner, with no road to cross, and the hotel is in front of you. Exit 4 is closer — turn right out of it and the red-edged tower is right there, with the stop at its door: dark blue, lettered 공항버스 / AIRPORT BUS and the hotel name, the 6007 route and fare posted below.

Wait under the street trees beside the sign, five or ten minutes early; other passengers will drift up and queue. The sign sits on the pavement, so the blue airport-bus panel is what to look for.

From the IFC towers or Yeouido Station, walk up Yeouido-daero to the department store and around to the hotel side; it looks like a detour on the map but is only 200–300 metres.

3. Getting on: tap or pay, and the driver takes the bags

Pay with a T-money card or in cash. Change is usually available on board, but a 10,000-won note makes it simpler.

Do not rush the door when the bus pulls in: the driver keeps it closed and loads each suitcase into the hold himself, then lets passengers on. Keep your case beside you in the queue and leave the doorway clear.

Seats are wide and recline, and before the expressway the driver reminds everyone to belt up; the bus also calls at a few other hotels first. The run takes about an hour, longer at rush hour.

There are no reserved seats — board early for a choice — and at weekends and over Korean holidays the bus fills up, so queue towards the front. With children, sit near the front for an easier exit.

4. Departures: 04:38 first, 20:08 last

The timetable posted at the stop, photographed in April 2025, runs from 04:38 to 20:08, roughly every 30–35 minutes through the day.

The 6007 timetable posted at the Fairmont stop

The operator adjusts the times, and holidays and traffic can put a bus a few minutes late. Photograph the posted timetable — it is useful for the return leg. For an early flight, the 04:38 reaches T1 around 05:40, which leaves room for check-in; anything earlier means a night near the airport or a taxi.

5. At the airport: T1 first, then T2

The bus calls at T1, then T2. Listen for the announcement or watch the signs; keep your carry-on with you, and the driver opens the hold for the cases, so there is no hurry to get off.

Work the timing backwards: 2.5–3 hours at the airport, plus an hour on the bus and the wait at the stop, means leaving Yeouido about four hours before departure. At weekends and over Korean long weekends the expressway takes longer.

T1's departure level is floor 3, with check-in split by airline and trolleys on the same level. T2 is a separate building used by some carriers only, and your booking says which. The wrong terminal means the shuttle, ten minutes or more each way — fatal on a tight schedule.

The return is the same bus in reverse: at the T1 or T2 stands, find the sign reading Yeouido and confirm the destination with the driver first. T-money works, and the driver still handles the luggage.

Fares and times follow the posted stop information and the operator's publications (photographed April 2025); what applies on the day prevails. Image credit: compiled from public material.
