Seoul to Incheon Airport T1 late-night bus timetable

Landing at Incheon late at night, or leaving on a small-hours flight, the metro is shut and a taxi is expensive — which leaves the late-night buses and a taxi. Incheon Airport's N-series buses link downtown Seoul with both terminals, fares fall into two brackets, and departures are few, but every one of them leaves at a fixed time.

This guide sets out what each of the five routes does, the fares, the Seoul departure points, the intermediate stops and where each bus drops off at the airport, with the Seoul-to-airport timetable transcribed below. Red-eye flights, overnight connections and hotels far from a metro station all run into the same question about the last journey of the day. One thing first: this material covers the Seoul-to-airport direction; for airport-to-Seoul, use the airport's own late-night bus page.

What the five routes do

There are five late-night routes, in two groups. N6000, N6001 and N6002 run through Gangnam, Yongsan, Yeomchang and Songjeong on the cheaper fare, serving the south-west of Seoul; N6701 and N6703 run from Dongdaemun and Seoul Station through Mapo, or from Jamsil through COEX and Seorae Village, on the higher fare, covering the north-east and the east side of Gangnam. All five run from the city towards the airport, the roads are empty at that hour, and the timetables work out at roughly 70–90 minutes from the first stop to T1.

The terminals are not uniform. N6000 serves T1 only; N6001 mostly serves T1, with some runs only to T2; N6002 serves T2 only; N6701 and N6703 serve both. Check which terminal you are flying from before you board — T1 and T2 are one railway stop apart, and changing between them at night is not convenient. Luggage goes in the hold underneath, and drivers usually get out to help; arrive a few minutes early rather than hunting for the hold once the bus is at the kerb.

Fares: 10,000 won or 18,000 won

The fare depends on the route, in two brackets exactly a factor apart.

RouteAdultChild
N6000, N6001, N600210,000 won8,000 won
N6701, N670318,000 won12,000 won

Songjeong is the exception: boarding there costs 5,000 won for an adult and 4,000 for a child, because the stop is nearly at the airport. If you are staying around Yeomchang or Songjeong, joining at Songjeong saves a useful amount.

Fares are as published in October 2026; changes follow the operator and the airport. Buy at the platform machine, at a convenience store or from the driver — practice varies, and ticket windows are usually shut at that hour.

Seoul to the airport: departure times

Departures from Seoul are fixed, starting after half past ten at night and ending with a last bus out of the city around 03:20.

Two details matter. The same bus calls at T1 before T2, about 20 minutes apart, so if you are going to T2 use the later time. N6701 and N6703 each run only three times a night, and missing one means waiting almost two hours — do not cut it fine before a flight.

Note also that the times are departures from the first stop, not from intermediate stops. Boarding en route, add anything from ten to twenty-five minutes depending on how far along the route the stop is; when in doubt, look the stop up on the airport's site.

Intermediate stops and airport drop-off points

Beyond the Seoul departure points, each route calls at a few more stops, in a different order on each line.

RouteStops in SeoulAirport drop-off
N6000Gangnam Express Bus Terminal → Heukseok → Yeomchang → SongjeongT1, level 1, 6A
N6001Seoul Station → Sinyongsan → Yeomchang → SongjeongT1, level 1, 6A; some runs T2 B1, bay 24
N6002 (bus 1)Gangnam Express Bus Terminal → Heukseok → Yeomchang → SongjeongT2 B1, bay 24
N6002 (bus 2)Seoul Station → Sinyongsan → Yeomchang → SongjeongT2 B1, bay 24
N6701DDP → Euljiro 1-ga → Seoul Station → MapoT1, level 3, 3B; T2 B1, bay 18
N6703Jamsil Lotte World → COEX → Seorae VillageT1, level 3, 3B; T2 B1, bay 19

Drop-off depends on the terminal. At T1, 6A is outside the level 1 arrivals hall and 3B is on the level 3 departures road; at T2 the B1 Transport Centre is the interchange, and the bay numbers are the door numbers. Follow the terminal signs after you get off; check-in desks are on the departures level.

At T2 the B1 Transport Centre is shared with the airport railway, so the bus bays sit next to the train gates. At T1 the level 1 kerb is right outside arrivals, with no road to cross.

The other direction: airport to Seoul

Arriving and heading into the city is the reverse trip, with different routes and different times. This guide covers Seoul to the airport only; for airport-to-city late-night buses use the airport website: Transport & Parking → Public Transport → Bus → Late-night Bus (Terminal 1) → Seoul late-night bus, at airport.kr/ap_ch/1702.

The page is organised by terminal and carries the current season's routes, departure times and bay numbers, which beats any second-hand summary. Work out whether you are coming out of T1 or T2 first, then match the bay number. If you miss the last late-night bus, the airport railway's first train leaves around 05:15, so two or three hours in the terminal will still get you into the city; if that is too long, take a taxi.

A few things to know at night

Late-night buses are far sparser than daytime services: most routes run three to six times a night, N6002 only twice, and a missed bus often means an hour's wait or more. If you land close to the last departure, count immigration and baggage while you are still on the plane; miss it and the taxi is the only option.

The taxi is the fallback. Incheon Airport to central Seoul is metered by distance with a night surcharge, clearly dearer than the bus, but it is door to door with no waiting. For a group of three or four with luggage, the taxi often works out cheaper per person.

Two last points. Payment on the night routes varies, so have cash or a transit card ready before you board; announcements are mostly in Korean, so if you are unsure of your stop, write the name down and show the driver. And if your flight is delayed until the small hours and your bus has gone, check the website for a later run before settling in at a stand that may have no more departures.
