REST & RELAX

On a layover at Incheon you do not have to spend anything to find a comfortable corner and lie down. Whether you are connecting for a few hours or staying overnight, both T1 and T2 keep free rest areas open around the clock — and if you want a shower before the next flight, the airport runs paid Shower Rooms as well.

This guide covers the three free areas (Nap, Cozy and Relax Zones) and the paid Shower Room: where each one is, what it offers and when it is open. Worth saving before you fly.

At a glance: which of the three free zones to pick

All of them sit on the fourth floor (4F), a few minutes' walk apart. The only question is what you want to do:

ZoneWhereBest for
Nap ZoneT1, 4F east side, near gate 25; T2, 4F east side, near gate 268 and 4F west side, near gate 231Lying down to sleep
Cozy ZoneT1, 4F east side, transit rest areaWorking or studying
Relax ZoneT1, 4F west side, near gate 43 and 4F east side, near gate 11Fresh air and a drink

01 Nap Zone: the free area built for sleep

A very long layover and you want to lie flat? The airport's free Nap Zones are open to you, with reclining benches and partitions between the bays for far more privacy.

📍 T2, 4F west side, near gate 231

👉 The experience: reclining benches, with partitions between the bays for far more privacy.

💡 Facilities: every zone has power outlets — Korean round-pin sockets, so bring an adapter.

💡 Stay warm: cover yourself with a thick coat or a blanket before you fall asleep.

02 Cozy Zone: the work-and-study area

For transit passengers who need to work or study, this is the one to pick. The Cozy Zone is open-plan, with sofa chairs and round tables as well as long desks with power sockets, and seats are usually available. Open free 24 hours.

03 Relax Zone: sofas and room to breathe

Also a free 24-hour open area, with sofa chairs and power outlets and excellent air circulation; the bar next door sells drinks. If you want to stand up and move around a little, it beats the gate seating.

04 Shower Room: paid, and not open around the clock

💰 Price: USD 6 per transit passenger (card or cash), for 30 minutes — overtime is charged extra.

⏰ Opening hours: 05:00–23:00. The Shower Rooms are not open around the clock; last entry is 22:30.

🧴 Provided: body wash, shampoo and conditioner, toothbrush and toothpaste, hairdryer.

Layover tips

  • Check which terminal you are in first: all three free zones and the shower rooms exist in both T1 and T2, but at different gates.
  • Bring a plug adapter — most sockets are Korean round-pin, and you will want it for charging and for the hairdryer.
  • If you plan to sleep, keep your thick coat or blanket within reach so you do not get cold overnight.
  • Plan the shower in advance: last entry is 22:30, so on a tight connection it is safer to shower first and rest afterwards.

💡 A tip: if your layover is long, plan your rest and shower times in advance and bring a plug adapter. Enjoy your connection!
